Dandy Life Album Review: Joss Stone-The Soul Sessions Vol. 2

Long before Amy Winehouse, Adele or even Duffy, blue-eyed soul singer Joss Stone brought her powerful pipes from across the pound over to the U.S.A. It has been almost 10 years since Joss Stone hit the music scene with her critically acclaimed debut album The Soul Sessions. The 25 year old powerhouse has now released her sixth studio album; The Soul Sessions Volume 2. Joss Stone has remained true to her signature sound that has made her not only one of the worlds most loved funk/blues singer's, but also a widely respected live performer.

Two months before the release of her new album, I got the pleasure of hearing her perform The Soul Sessions Vol. 2 live in its entirety, along with several of her most memorable hits from over the years. The material on her new album showcases both her musical and personal growth as an artist and as a woman. The honesty in her voice is just as sincere today as it was a decade ago. Fans of real soul music, and true vocal talent will not be disappointed but thrilled to hear the return of a genuine artist with relatable life and love experiences such as their own.

Stand out Tracks are:

Pillow Talk
While Your Out Looking For Sugar
Teardrops
The High Road
One Love In My Lifetime
