Dandy Mom Lynn Laster and The Lovely Beckie Armstrong (Hostess)

The annual Armstrong Family Holiday Party has become one of the most treasured holiday gatherings in Lansing, Michigan. The festive gathering is filled with predominantly Michigan State University Black Alumni, their children and grandchildren. The Armstrong Family has been a significant part of my life since before I was even born. I had the pleasure of growing up with the Armstrong's, their children and a countless host of other black professionals and their kids. This unique collective of positive, productive and passionate black men and woman played a very important part in my upbringing, framing how I viewed african americans and myself. The holiday celebration is another opportunity for us all to gather once agin, and enjoy good food and good company.
