Dandy Event: Harlem Fine Art Show 2013 Part 1

The Harlem Fine Art Show is the largest art show featuring African, African American and Minority artist. Artist and art lovers come from all across the United States, some even travel from foreign countries to showcase, sell or buy art during this traditional three day event. The festival typically takes place during the second week of February in New York City. The Harlem Fine Art Show began three years ago and grew out of the prestigious art convention former known as the National Black Fine Art Show. For thirteen years thousands gathered to this traveling event, yet its biggest and most attended location is still New York City. This is my eighth year attending the shows and it  has allowed me the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with some of my favorite and most respected artist, as well as numerous gallery owners. Check out a few highlights from the HFAS 2013 and see some of the worlds most renown artist of color.
